Transportation

As a reminder, students can enter the building as early as 7:30a.m., and the library is open to students from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and until 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays.

D’Evelyn does not have bus transportation available. The school understands this is a significant inconvenience and is resolute in doing everything possible to alleviate this inconvenience.

D’Evelyn has an account with the Schoolpool Carpooling Service through the Denver Regional Council of Governments. This free service helps connect families so they can share in the responsibility of getting students to school and back.

Schoolpool works as follows:

  • To create an account, you will need to email the front office for the D'Evelyn specific link.

  • Using the secure website, parents register to find and contact interested D'Evelyn families in their area.

  • Parents may register with their home intersection instead of home address.

  • Way to Go’s only goal is to help reduce traffic congestion and pollution, so rest assured your information will only be shared with D'Evelyn families–no third parties will ever see it, unless you elect to share your information with families at other schools.

  • Comments can be added to indicate special requests or preferences, such as “can provide morning rides in exchange for afternoon rides,” “student is in after school activities”, etc.

  • The service can be used for planning full-time, part-time, or emergency trips.

  • It is a great resource to meet nearby families for other reasons such as temporary transportation needs for emergencies, play dates, baby sitters, summer BBQs, etc.

  • The more families that register the more likely parents are able to find good matches.

Some families in our community may struggle to arrange for transportation, so we ask anyone willing and able to provide rides for students to register on the D’Evelyn Schoolpool account. Help a Jag get to school!
