Dennison priority

Dennison Elementary School is the only school that feeds directly to D’Evelyn for sixth grade. Students completing the Dennison program are eligible for first-priority enrollment for D’Evelyn sixth grade in the following school year.

The Dennison student must be a Jefferson County resident to receive priority enrollment. Though Dennison students receive first priority, parents of Dennison students must still complete their wish to attend D’Evelyn through EnrollJeffco. 

Learning about D’Evelyn

School choice is an important responsibility of all families. D’Evelyn is an option school with a unique, liberal arts, 6-12 academic program. It is critical for families to make thoughtful decisions in the selection of schools for their students. As a result, we ask all families interested in enrolling their students at D’Evelyn to attend at least one prospective student information meeting.

We host an open house to give families and prospective students the opportunity to tour the school and gain insight into student culture and activity offerings. See the school calendar for the specific date and time.

Our prospective student information meetings are designed to give families more information about D’Evelyn’s philosophy, program and operating principles. Interested families only need to attend one of the prospective student information meetings. See the school calendar for specific dates and times.

D’Evelyn lottery system

Sixth and seventh grade

The order of our lottery priority for sixth and seventh grade is:

1. Students who reside in Jefferson County, AND they are attending our assigned neighborhood school (Dennison Elementary School) which is our feeder school.
2. Students who reside in Jefferson County, AND have a sibling who is currently attending and is also projected to be enrolled at D’Evelyn the following school year.
3. Students who reside in Jefferson County, AND they are the child of a full-time staff member at D’Evelyn.
4. Students who reside in Jefferson County.
5. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County, BUT have a sibling who is currently attending and is also projected to be enrolled in the school the following school year.
6. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County, BUT they are a child of a full-time staff member at D’Evelyn.
7. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County, AND they are attending Dennison Elementary School (which is our only feeder school).
8. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County.

Eighth and ninth grade

The order of our lottery priority for eighth and ninth grade is:

1. Students who reside in Jefferson County, AND have a sibling who is currently attending and is also projected to be enrolled at D’Evelyn the following school year.
2. Students who reside in Jefferson County, AND they are the child of a full-time staff member at D’Evelyn.
3. Students who reside in Jefferson County.
4. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County, BUT have a sibling who is currently attending and is also projected to be enrolled in the school the following school year.
5. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County, BUT they are a child of a full-time staff member at D’Evelyn.
6. Students who do not reside in Jefferson County.
