ALL STUDENTS

Save the Good Earth by donating your old required reading copy (and other required reading books, too) to the library!  All conditions of books accepted!

All students, please vote for your favorite t-shirt design for the D’Evelyn DASH Logo this August.  Look in your google classroom for the voting form.  It’s super simple! 

 The Princeton Review is hosting High School Week, June 7-11th.  This is a very informative virtual week full of free events to help students prepare for the college admissions process.  Subjects include SAT/ACT Boot Camp, Strategy Sessions, Practice Tests and much more!  Get the link from Counseling or the bulletin board by the TV.

 Ranch Camp in Elbert County, needs horseback riding instructors, kitchen/operations staff and male camp counselors for the summer, May 27th through August 1st, with flexible start dates.  Housing and meals provided for all positions. Applicants must be 17 years and older. Ranch Camp is not only for Jewish Families, it is not restrictive or exclusive. Stop by Counseling for the details OR the job opportunities board.

 

SENIOR HIGH STUDENTS

Attention Juniors taking AP stats next year: please stop by Mrs. Weber's room (E114) if you need to purchase a stats book. Bring cash or Venmo. Books are between $40 and $60. First come first serve. 

 Attention to all D'Evelyn boys interested in golf next year.  Tryouts are before the school year starts and Mr. Boswell needs your contact information to let you know the when and where of tryouts.  Either sign up for the Boys Golf Remind, there are signs posted around the school, or stop by Mr. Boswell's room in E204.

 Are you interested in the Military?  Join Colorado’s Virtual Military Careers Expo in honor of Armed Forces Day on May 18th from 5 – 6 pm.  This is an opportunity for students and parents to ask questions directly to military recruiters.  No registration required.  Find the link in counseling or on the bulletin board near the cafeteria.

 DAZZLING JAGS:

Congratulations to D'Evelyn's outstanding artists for their great showing at the 50th Annual Jeffco Foundation Art Show.  We exhibited the work of 30 artists with several taking home cash awards!  Taryn Bilyeu won first place in Drawing, Lexi Gulley won second place in Jewelry, Karina Li took 3rd place in Jewelry, Ian Combe and Kylee Ornstein both received Honorable Mention in Jewelry.  Bryce Forsgren won 2nd place in Altered Photography, Elsie Vannice won 2nd place in Painting and Tessa Liebman rounded out the awards with a special Mountainside Art Award. Excellent work, Artists!

DASH Help Needed
We are looking for help in the following categories in addition to day of event help.  If you are interested, please email us at 
develyndashcrew@gmail.com.  We can use your help in any way and would love to work with you!Sponsorships – help solicit sponsorships, in-kind donations, Course Co-Chair – help manage all course related matters. Over the last 20 years, the D'Evelyn DASH, which is a 5K or 2K run/walk, has grown into a huge community event that served as a fundraiser and a big-kick off to the school year.  It is held in conjunction with the D’Evelyn hosted Cross Country meet.  
 All funds raised by the DASH go to the D'Evelyn Education Foundation which supports our students and staff by funding academics, athletics, performing arts, scholarships, technology and textbooks, after prom events, junior high boosters, girls and boys mentoring, and teacher training, just to name a few.  The monies provided by DEF benefit every student in some manner throughout their time at D'Evelyn.

Please donate your old copies of 1984 and other required reading materials to the library before your students leave for summer break!  All conditions of books are accepted! 

 

6th & 7th grade End of Year Fun

Join us for a Jr. High Social at Lakewood Park to celebrate our amazing Jr. High School students! We would like to get our kids together for a year-end gathering to have a little fun outdoors. We will be offering refreshments and games including soccer, football, badminton, volleyball, corn hole and tennis. All Jr. High students in the 6th and 7th grade are welcome! We hope to see you there!

Buses for next year will have the same stops as this year but there will be a fee.  The shuttle between DHS and Dennison will NOT resume.  If you are interested in carpooling, please contact the front office and you will be given a link to contact other interested parents.

Vaccination Clinic for Students 16+ - * NEW LOCATION *Spots Still Available!

Our healthcare partner, Stride Community Health, is hosting a drive-through vaccine clinic for Jeffco students aged 16 and older. Interested students need to pre-register for the event. Spaces are limited; first come, first served. Depending on the response to this event, we may offer more clinics soon. We also suggest you check with your healthcare provider and other area healthcare services for vaccine opportunities.

Over the last 20 years, the D'Evelyn DASH, which is a 5K or 2K run/walk, has grown into a huge community event that served as a fundraiser and a big-kick off to the school year.  It is held in conjunction with the D’Evelyn hosted Cross Country meet.  
 All funds raised by the DASH go to the D'Evelyn Education Foundation which supports our students and staff by funding academics, athletics, performing arts, scholarships, technology and textbooks, after prom events, junior high boosters, girls and boys mentoring, and teacher training, just to name a few.  The monies provided by DEF benefit every student in some manner throughout their time at D'Evelyn.

 

Please donate your old copies of 1984 and other required reading materials to the library before your students leave for summer break!  All conditions of books are accepted! 

 

6th & 7th grade End of Year Fun

Join us for a Jr. High Social at Lakewood Park to celebrate our amazing Jr. High School students! We would like to get our kids together for a year-end gathering to have a little fun outdoors. We will be offering refreshments and games including soccer, football, badminton, volleyball, corn hole and tennis. All Jr. High students in the 6th and 7th grade are welcome! We hope to see you there!

Our healthcare partner, Stride Community Health, is hosting a drive-through vaccine clinic for Jeffco students aged 16 and older. Interested students need to pre-register for the event. Spaces are limited; first come, first served. Depending on the response to this event, we may offer more clinics soon. We also suggest you check with your healthcare provider and other area healthcare services for vaccine opportunities.

Back by popular demand, The Princeton Review is hosting High School Week, June 7-11th.  This is a very informative virtual week full of free events to help students prepare for the college admissions process.  Subjects include SAT/ACT Boot Camp, Strategy Sessions, Practice Tests and much more!  Get the link from Counseling or the bulletin board by the TV.

 

Ranch Camp in Elbert County, is looking for horseback riding instructors, kitchen/operations staff and male camp counselors for the summer.  Housing and meals provided for all positions. Date range is May 27th - Aug 1st with flexible start dates.
