Each month coaches have the opportunity to nominate athletes for Student Athlete of the Month. To be selected for this prestigious award, athletes must be academically eligible every week and make significant contributions to their teams, in the eyes of their coaches.

The female Student Athlete for September is Sydnee Fark, nominated by Coach Porreco.  Sydnee is a sophomore softball player and is having an amazing start this season.  She has been a big part of the team’s successful 8-0 start, beating some big 5A schools like: Chatfield, Thunder Ridge, Pomona, Douglas County.  Sydnee is a lefty pitcher and has a 5-0 record with 7 appearances and a 2.37 ERA.  She is also leading the team in hitting with a .538 batting average.  Congratulations Sydnee on a rock solid start to the season!

The male Student Athlete for September is Adrian Lopez, nominated by Coach Bell.  Adrian is new to the sport of Cross-country but he has approached this year like a true veteran.  His energy and enthusiasm are contagious, and he has led to a new culture of hard work and working together for our team.  His leadership extends to the races as well as he has been our top performer in each of our meets thus far.  In the classroom, Adrian demonstrates the same determination and hard work that are the cornerstones of success. Congratulations Adrian! Congratulations to these fine student athletes!

SUPPORT D'EVELYN SUPPORTERS!  Our local business supporters who have so generously given to the D’Evelyn community are now in need of your support.  Let us illustrate to them how incredibly grateful we are for their past generosity by frequenting their business.  Now is the opportune time to give back to those who have charitably donated to our school.  To see the list go Support for DEF Local Businesses List.

SHOPPING MORE ONLINE?  Try using AmazonSmile which is a simple way for D'Evelyn community members to support our school. AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your purchases to the charity (D'Evelyn Education Foundation). It costs you and D'Evelyn nothing, and it's just like shopping on Amazon normally. Items that are eligible for donations will be marked as such on their product pages. The only real catch is you must start your shopping at smile.amazon.com, This is a great way to support D'Evelyn!
