In this season of illness, here are some tips to help keep you and your student healthy. Please keep your students home if they are sick. Handwashing is the best way to prevent the spread of illness.  Vigorously scrub with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When coughing or sneezing, be sure to cover your nose and mouth, preferably with the inside of your elbow. Disinfect commonly touched surfaces.

The D’Evelyn Steering Committee requests a few minutes of your time to complete the Principal Evaluation Survey for the 2019-2020 school year.  Per agreement with the district, the Steering Committee collaborates with the District's Executive Director of School Effectiveness on the principal evaluation.  Your input on this survey is one valuable component of the multi-faceted evaluation process.  The survey questions have been assembled based on D'Evelyn's Founding Documents and School Philosophy.  Your thoughtful responses are important.   The survey is available now through Friday, 13 March 2020. We ask parents to complete only one survey per household.   Please click on the survey link below to start.  Please be assured that your responses are anonymous.  The survey will take about 5-10 minutes.  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/GV92WS9

That glitch has now been corrected. Here is the link to the survey: Parent School Satisfaction Survey  As outlined in the survey instructions, the survey itself is designed for parents to complete on behalf of each individual child that currently attends D’Evelyn to provide more clear feedback on the specific experiences of each student.  As such, the survey is updated, and families that have completed the survey once may now go back in to complete a second survey (and beyond) as needed. For families that have not yet completed the survey, you now have the opportunity to complete the survey on behalf of each of your students currently enrolled at D’Evelyn.

The After-Prom committee is hard at work planning this year's activities and it is going to be a ROAR!  After-Prom is a parent sponsored/supervised event and we are respectfully requesting your donation of $10 or any amount to continue providing a fun and safe setting for our students.  It also serves as a good-bye party for our Seniors.   The event April 25/26 is a student lock in 11:30-3am, parent supervised event with games, food, drink, blow ups, games, caricature artists and all the amenities of the Ridge Recreation center including the pool!  Funding for After Prom comes from parent donations, a DEF donation and ticket sales.  Thank you greatly in advance for your consideration.

All donations made to the D'Evelyn Education Foundation (DEF) are tax deductible.

After Prom is great opportunity for younger families to get involved with a student favorite school tradition.  Look for Sign Up Genius links in school announcements soon for tangible items needed and spots to sign up to help. Volunteer to work the event or be part of the preparation committee; planning, décor, activities/vendors, food/drink and entertainment. Come see what the fun is all about.
We are currently looking for people to shadow a team leader this year to take on the planning for the next prom.  This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with other D'Evelyn Families.  Please contact Shannon if you're interested in a rewarding position on the After Prom committee.

Join one of our upcoming D'Evelyn Social Events, hosted by your fellow D'Evelyn families.  It's a great way to bring together families, students, teachers, staff, and our community together in mutual support for our wonderful school.  100% of the money raised from these Socials goes to the D’Evelyn Education Foundation to support student and teacher scholarships.  These Socials serve two purposes – (1) much needed funds are raised for the school and (2) it’s a great way to meet other amazing D’Evelyn families!  CHECK THEM OUT HERE

This message serves to remind D’Evelyn families of the opportunity to complete the Parent School Satisfaction Survey organized by the D’Evelyn Accountability Committee.  Additionally, we understand that there was a glitch in the initially released survey that did not allow multiple responses per family.

The Academic Assistance Center is officially running from 2:45-4:00 pm after school in the library. This program allows students to have a quiet time and space for additional academic support and tutoring. This is primarily for Jr. High, however, high school students may attend on a referral basis. If you wish for your student to attend the Academic Assistance Center, please contact your student’s administrator, counselor, or Mrs. Lewis (katie.lewis@jeffco.k12.co.us). Thanks!

This is Angela Hoffman’s last year being our volunteer Prom Parent after many years of dedicated service to D’Evelyn.  We are so grateful for all her efforts to make each prom a memorable experience for our students!  Now it is time for a new Prom Parent to take the reigns and help coordinate Prom activities.  We would love for our new parent volunteer to shadow Angela as she coordinates this year’s Prom and get an idea of what the position includes.  If you are interested in volunteering to plan and organize Prom for our great school in the future, please contact Assistant Principal Dan Wille at daniel.wille@jeffco.k12.co.us.

Our next donation from American Furniture Warehouse will be $758.10! When shopping at American Furniture please mention D’Evelyn or give the ID#DEVHS5   Thank you D’Evelyn Families for mentioning the school when purchasing furniture!
